Burning Metal project

  • Client: self work
  • Year: 2019

This project applies the phenomenon of discoloration caused by heating metals to products. A series of independent research projects explored the inherent possibilities of a titanium alloy, known for its significant discoloration phenomenon, by manipulating the thickness of the surface coating on the metal. Also experimental project is an attempt to apply the beautiful gradation of colors and brilliance of the material itself, which is not painted, to a design while linking it to the function and story of the product itself, without discoloration or fading over time.
