Shelf#01 was intended to be a simple shelf with functionality and manufacturing advantages, consisting only of two steel plates bent into the same shape. One of the plates is punched to give it a floating appearance, while the other serves as a screw-hole for fixing it to the wall. The functional shape required for various usage scenarios, such as displaying objects or hanging up books, was designed through a geometric approach.
